Questions?

Happy Saturday to all of you lovely people. I hope your day is going well, and your mailboxes have surprises in them. ;)

I'm hoping to write a post in the near future of questions you might have for me. Or ideas of what you'd like to see on this blog. I would love to answer them for you! If you have anything you'd like to ask me, please comment on this post or send me an email at : inhannahsworld@hotmail.com  and I'll write up a post sometime soon. Please send them by the middle of September to be in the coming post.  I'm hoping to do something like this once in a while. :)

Thanks to each and every one of you for following, reading, and commenting on this blog of mine. I love learning about where you all are from, and getting to know you.

truly blessed

I sit here tonight, so thankful and truly blessed. I honestly can't put it into words , when I think about how many friendships blogger has given me. Ones that I am dearly thankful to call some of my closest friends. Having a blog, and meeting others through comments and links , you'd really be surprised with just what you may find. I can think of so many people who someday, I'll have the blessing of meeting "in person". I know there are people out there who simply can't even begin to understand why someone would even think of meeting up with someone they had never seen in person before, but I think all of us bloggers can truly understand, that meeting another "blogger friend" is one of our dreams. I had the opportunity to meet two sisters who are so dear to my heart, in June. To think that actually happened, is just amazing. I'm looking forward to meeting others that I've read their blogs, or exchanged letters with someday. I hope next year will hold lots of travel, not only a trip when I graduate, but also meetings with some of my best friends. I hope to head out to a retreat also, so saving money must begin soon. :)

This week much love arrived in the mailbox, and I am so touched to call these people, friends.

Letter Tracking

I am a girl who loves list making, and recording things. You all know how I love sending and receiving letters, it just makes my day so happy. :) One way that I think helps make such a difference in keeping track of letters is having a calendar to record when I send and receive. If you are in need of a better way to keep track, maybe you'll find my idea helpful. :)

Since 2011 I've bought various calendars for storing all my mail info. I like the GreenRoom ones from Target, very clean, and hold enough room to write. Last year I had a smaller one from them but decided to go bigger this year. I actually wanted to buy one many months ago but decided to wait until my organizer finished this past June. I was walking through aisles at Target when I found products on the clearance shelf, there a stack of calendars were waiting, and for only about $4.

Every time I receive a letter, I write "Letter/Letters from" and then the name (s) on the day I found the dear letters waiting in the mailbox.  There's also a spot on the lower right that says "notes" where I'll usually put friends birthdays along with the date so I know to send them a little something special. :)

Last week's layout of outgoing mail. I sent 6 letters out~ one to my cousin and the rest to friends ~ all far away. I'll usually send out more than one letter at a time.

I find this is a way to stay on track for replying in a timely manner. I can look and see "oh it's already been two weeks since I received the letter from ____, I should start a reply. " :) I would like to send replies around a week after receiving, or sooner ;) I did happen to find some lovelies waiting for me at the post office today. I am switching box numbers by the end of the month so I'll have to send address changes along with the letter. :)

In case you needed inspiration, or organizing tips,  I hope you found this helpful.  Have a great day, friends!

Happy Mailing!

Postcard Swap

In 2011 my friend Gracie had a mail group called "The Happy Mail Project". There were four swaps that I took part in. A list making one, postcard quote swap, journaling swap, and christmas package swap. Her latest one that I took part in started at the end of June.

Gracie does a lovely job putting it all together. I was very happy to receive all the postcards for this swap.
Each week for four straight weeks you would send a postcard to the person you were assigned to, and they would send you one back. You could write a favorite quote, getting to know you, anything you wanted to share with your partner. Every week you also were given a type of postcard to send. :

Week One: black and white
Week Two: Artsy
Week Three: Colorful
Week Four: Beauty

These were the lovely postcards waiting for me when I opened up the mailbox. :)
