New Stamps Prices Come January

I am quite disappointed in the raised prices of stamps come the new year. The last few years first class, one ounce stamps have increased by a penny, but January 2014 increases by 3 cents. I am really bummed with just thinking about how much mail already costs and here it's raising again. When I think about it, 2 letters will basically cost one dollar to mail. It really makes me think about how much mail does cost, and wanting to make every letter worth mailing. Not just putting it in the mail, and sending off, but taking extra time to share and decorate.

Highlights of the new single-piece First-Class Mail pricing, effective Jan. 26, 2014 include:
  • Letters (1 oz.) — 3-cent increase to 49 cents
  • Letters additional ounces —  1-cent increase to 21 cents
  • Letters to all international destinations (1 oz.) — $1.15
  • Postcards — 1-cent increase to 34 cents

  1. Ughhhh. *ComplainingComplainingComplaining* WHY!? I was just thinking, in a few years if prices keep increasing it'll cost a dollar for ONE letter. This stuff is crazy!!!!!!! I don't think postage costs have ever decreased. Like ever. It would be so nice if they did, though. :p And I know exactly what you mean about making every letter WORTH mailing. :)
love you, sweet girl! :) <3
